From Christianity Today Article by Philip Yancey

In one meeting, a 20-year-old came to the microphone and chided me for not taking literally the Bible’s promise about faith that can move mountains. I agreed I needed a larger dose of such childlike faith, yet at the same time, I could not dishonor the pain of suffering people by telling them their faith is somehow defective.

From such souls, I learn that life is not a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived. Prayer offers no ironclad guarantees, just the certain promise that we need not live that mystery alone.

946 Billionaires according to Forbes

Microsoft founder Bill Gates ranked No. 1 for the 13th straight year, beating out friend and fellow philanthropist Warren Buffett chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

Unfortunately for Gates even $56 Billion is not enough to upgrade the wardrobe.

Do we need Laws for Robots???

Isaac Asimov was already thinking about these problems back in the 1940s, when he developed his famous "three laws of robotics".

He argued that intelligent robots should all be programmed to obey the following three laws:

-A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm

-A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law

-A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law

Be the Change!

Zach Hunter is a fifteen-year-old abolitionist and activist who spends much of his time working to end slavery around the world. He's the student spokesperson for the Amazing Change campaign, which is inspired by the film Amazing Grace. Last year he spoke to almost a half a million people and is educating and inspiring students everywhere to make a change in the world. He also founded Loose Change to Loosen Chains, a student-run effort to help raise money to free slaves.
Zach is the author of Be the Change-a book that will let your students find out how Zach is making a difference and how they can make changes to the things that they see wrong with our world.
