In 1993, a basketball coach gave a pep talk. Not a pregame speech, not a halftime tirade, but a speech to a crowded room and TV audience of millions of men and women. The topic was life and he had cancer. In the sports community it has gained reverence, but the fact that I was a boy of 12 when he gave the speech shows its legend. Jim Valvano's speech reminds us to dream, laugh and love. This is Jimmy V Week on ESPN. I would ask that you listen to the words of a man who knew he was going to die, and the dream he dreamed.

Somebody is getting fired down at central processing. News Flash! If some building called the Sears Tower or Chrysler Building show up on your desk, claiming to be sold…CHECK OUT THE DETAILS! Oh, by the way, if the person who took care of changing the deed of the tallest building in New York needs new work after getting canned, I know a Nigerian Prince who might hire you.
